The Yeye Asoludero of Simawa Kingdom, Princess Catherine Adesunmbo Adeloyin Segun-Okeowo was born on the 8th day of February, 1974 to Prince Gabriel Adebayo Adegoke and Mrs Rebecca Olagbenke Adegoke of the Adagba Lafogido Ruling House of lle Ife, Osun State Nigeria. She attended the St. David Grammar School, Lagere Ile Ife. She thereafter proceeded to the Federal Polytechnic Ede, to study Computer Science. She also studied Education Management at The Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.
She got married in 1996 and immediately joined her husband in the ministry of evangelical drama and in the same year proceeded with him on a full-time ministerial work in the Christoline Evangelical Drama Ministries. Together, they toured many cities and villages for drama outreaches, film shows and several other ministerial assignments.
Ordained into the Evangelistic Ministry in 1998 along with her husband, Sunmbo Segun-Okeowo is a prolific writer, teacher, speaker, author, counselor and actor with over 30 years’ experience. She is the writer and screen-playwright of the popular television series: House of the Rock which runs on many television channels and several online media.
An ordained minister of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, she, in conjunction with her husband runs relationship seminars, marriage workshops, youths and couples’ conferences. She is the arrowhead of the annual BEYOND the HONEYMOON COUPLES RETREAT which gathers couples together for rejuvenation and revival of marriage and marital vows. Sunmbo Segun-Okeowo is passionate about home building, marital bliss and prayer for homes. She is a Prayer Champion and the Coordinator of the Praying Women Fellowship and Women to Women Outreach.
On the secular side, Sunmbo Segun-Okeowo; popularly called SSO is the Executive Director of the Goldmind Schools, a co- educational Nursery, Primary and Secondary school based in Simawa Ogun State. She is the General Secretary of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) in Sagamu Local Government of Ogun State. She is also the Managing Director of Zionstones Media and The House of Viccasso, a consortium of TV and Film Production Studios, Farms and Estate Management.
SSO and her husband are blessed with five biological children in addition to many adopted, foster and spiritual children.
